Just after we booked our accommodation in St Augustine last August, we got a message from the agents to say that unfortunately the owners had also given another company the property to rent and, regrettably, the place was double booked for our dates. They were very quick to tell us and it was still some 6 months ahead so we weren't two miffed. The agents were very apologetic and offered us two alternatives, both considerably larger and more expensive but at no additional cost to us and we chose Blue Heron Cottage in a quiet, residential area on the outskirts of town.
When we arrived we were a little taken aback as the area seemed a little run down and all the properties were single storey, rather poor looking houses.
But our place was lovely, not the most attractive of properties but fairly new and immaculate inside.
Two bedrooms and two bathrooms and all the kitchen utilities you could wish for. I think it'll suit us very well for the time we're here.
